Flint River
Council Approved Cub
Camping:
-
Tiger
Cubs are limited to boy-parent day excursions or
Council-organized camping designed for the entire family i.e.
Cub-o-Ree, Spook-o-Ree, Tiger Day.
-
Cub
Scouts/Webelos may participate in overnight camping at
Council owned/managed properties or Council approved camping
areas when supervised by his mother or father. If a parent
cannot attend, arrangements must be made by the boy’s family for
another adult to be a substitute at the campout. No adult should be
responsible for more than one boy other than his or her own. In most
cases the 1 Adult/1Boy Ratio should be maintained.
-
Webelos
may also attend overnight camping with Boy Scout troops such as
camp-o-rees and Klondike derbies. In most cases the 1 Adult/1Boy
Ratio should be followed. Webelos dens are definitely encouraged
to camp with troops, but not during events where the den is not the
focus if the troop’s attention. When a Webelos den camps with
troops, they should be doing so at a time when the Webelos Den is
the focus of the troop’s attention.
